2022 Block of the Month and Roundabout Challenge

Block of the Month – Abstract Adventure

Are you ready for a chance to sew along with friends? Block of the Month Chairperson, Evie Rienstra has designed a series of 12 blocks inspired by the famous Dutch painter, Piet Mondrian. Whether you choose his traditional colors of red, yellow, blue, black and white, or you take your own artistic adventure, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to explore and share your creativity with other members. Beginning in January, Evie will introduce a new block pattern at our general meeting each month.

Blocks can be made with or without the quarter-inch black sashing shown in the photos below. Here is a helpful link for adding sashing.

Rules: use at least 3 solid colors and make a quilt of any type with sides that measure anywhere between 24 and 80 inches. Quilts will be shared at our July 2nd General Meeting Fun! Fun! Fun!
